About Conference

In the era of rapid digital transformation, the world is facing multifaceted challenges that demand holistic and sustainable approaches. Global economic crises, climate change, social disparities, and disruptive technologies call for strong interdisciplinary synergy to produce comprehensive and inclusive solutions. As the largest economy in Southeast Asia and a G20 member, Indonesia plays a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable future. With a population exceeding 270 million and a strategic geographic position, Indonesia is presented with immense opportunities as well as substantial challenges in achieving inclusive and sustainable economic growth. In this context, management, accounting, and taxation play increasingly critical roles as essential instruments in supporting the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Effective management is needed to optimize resources and drive innovation.

As the need for sustainability-oriented and socially just development continues to grow, these three pillars—management, accounting, and taxation—must work synergistically to establish a resilient and inclusive economic system. Management functions as the engine of strategy and organizational innovation that is responsive to change. Accounting provides transparent and accountable financial information as a foundation for sustainable planning and decision-making. Meanwhile, equitable and progressive taxation serves as a vital tool in economic redistribution, public service financing, and the reduction of social inequality.

Through an interdisciplinary approach, the integration of these three fields becomes a key driver in advancing the sustainable development agenda. By aligning efficient managerial practices, accountable accounting systems, and tax policies that prioritize the public interest, we can foster economic growth that is not only rapid but also inclusive and equitable in its distribution of benefits.

Therefore, in 2025, the 3rd ICEMAT adopts the theme: “Building a Sustainable Future: Synergy of Management, Accounting, and Taxation for Inclusive Growth.” This theme reflects the urgent need to build a sustainable future through strategic collaboration across interrelated fields. In this framework, management contributes by formulating effective strategies and policies, accounting acts as a core tool for accountability and performance measurement, while taxation functions as a vital instrument for ensuring fairness and financing development. The synergy among these three areas is expected to drive economic growth that is both equitable and inclusive.

This international seminar is envisioned as a collaborative platform for academics, practitioners, policymakers, and stakeholders to exchange insights, research findings, and practical strategies in supporting a just and sustainable economic transformation. It also reaffirms the shared commitment to advancing the roles of management, accounting, and taxation in addressing global challenges with inclusive and adaptive solutions in the digital era.
