About Conference

The rapid advancement of digital technology has brought significant changes across various aspects of life, including the fields of management, accounting, and taxation. The emergence of intelligent data-driven technologies has increasingly supported information processing, improved operational efficiency, and enabled more adaptive and informed decision-making processes. At the same time, global demands for the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance principles continue to grow alongside rising awareness of sustainability, social responsibility, and transparent as well as accountable governance. The synergy between technological advancement and sustainability principles has therefore become an essential factor in creating long-term value that is not solely focused on economic growth, but also on social and environmental impacts.

In the modern era, the integration of digital transformation and ESG provides organizations with opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness, improve the quality of decision-making, and strengthen reporting accountability. In the fields of accounting and taxation, digital technologies can support process automation, more comprehensive data analysis, and more accurate risk identification. Meanwhile, the implementation of ESG encourages organizations to prioritize sustainable and ethical practices, ultimately increasing stakeholders’ trust and confidence. The combination of these approaches serves as an important foundation for building an economic system that is resilient, innovative, and adaptive to global changes.

Nevertheless, the implementation of digital transformation and ESG also faces several challenges, including human resource readiness, regulatory frameworks that are not yet fully adaptive, and the need for integrated reporting standards. Therefore, an academic forum is needed to bridge the perspectives of academics, practitioners, and policymakers in exploring the opportunities, challenges, and implementation strategies of digital transformation and ESG comprehensively.

Building upon the success of the previous conferences, the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Sangga Buana once again proudly presents the 4th International Conference on Economics, Management, Accounting, and Taxation (4th ICEMAT) as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting scientific development and enhancing research quality. Carrying the theme “Cultivating Sustainable Value: The Synergy of Digital Transformation and ESG in Modern Management, Accounting, and Taxation for a Resilient Future”. 4th ICEMAT is expected to serve as a strategic platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to exchange knowledge, expand collaborative networks, and generate relevant scientific contributions in addressing global challenges toward a sustainable and resilient future.
